Jeremy Collier, Lawyer at Collier Law in Wasilla, AK

Jeremy Collier

Jeremy Collier is a lifelong Alaskan, born and raised right here in the Mat-Su Valley. During law school, he clerked for the public defender agency where he developed a passion for criminal defense and helping clients. After graduating from Western Michigan University, Thomas Cooley Law School in 2010, he returned to Alaska to serve the people of his community and make a home with his wife, Justine. From 2010-2011, he clerked for the Superior court in Kenai working on cases spanning all aspects of the legal spectrum.

After his clerkship, he began in private practice, again helping indigent defendants until he opened Collier Law in 2012. Since then, Jeremy has dedicated himself to helping Alaskans with their legal needs. Jeremy is a proud member of the Alaska Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers (AKACDL) as well as the Alaska Association for Justice – an organization dedicated to helping injured Alaskan’s obtain a full and fair recovery.

Tara Hannah

Tara, being a military dependent/spouse has lived in 8 different states settling permanently in Alaska in 1992 with her family, and four dogs. She has worked in Banking since 1992 specializing in Bank Fraud, Bank Regulations, and preparing small claims documents. As the Document Prep Specialist for Collier Law, she assists Zoë with property transfers, title issues, lien releases and owner financing. In her off-time, Tara loves to travel, spend time with family, and enjoys outdoor activities such as camping, four wheeling and snowmachining.

Krystle Compton

Krystle was born and raised on the tiny tropical island of Guam, and she moved to Alaska in 2023 with her family. She received her Associates of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Development in 2010 and worked as a private tutor for 4 years. For the past 10 years, she has been in the HVAC industry at a Fortune 500 company. She started as the Administrative Assistant and made her way up to the top sales representative in her department from 2018-2023, specializing in commercial wholesale and military contracts. She is now an Administrator at Collier Law and acts as a liaison, ensuring the firm runs smoothly. She is an avid world traveler and when she’s not at work, she’s running her catering business and spending time with her family. She enjoys cooking, gardening, traveling, reading, going to church, painting, and spending time outdoors.

Michael King

Michael was born and raised in Southern California. He received his B.A. in political science and philosophy from California Baptist University and his J.D. from Regent University School of Law. Upon graduation, he and his wife moved to Alaska, where he clerked for the Superior Court in Kenai allowing him to work on a wide variety of cases, entailing both criminal and civil matters. He believes that an honorable attorney is one who not only zealously advocates for each of his clients in helping them reach a desired outcome but supports them through what may be the most difficult moment of their lives. While his time in Alaska has been short, he and his wife have fallen in love with the great state. In his free time, he enjoys hiking, golfing in the summer, and skiing in the winter. He and his wife are excited to call Mat-Su Valley home and plan to explore all the wonderful places and activities Alaska has to offer!

Kelly Nymeyer

Kelly is a lifelong Alaskan. Born and raised in the Mat-Su Valley, Kelly moved to Kodiak Island, and currently resides in the Interior. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Natural Resources Biology. As the Document Prep Specialist for Collier Law, she helps with property transfers, title issues, lien releases and owner financing. In her off-time, she loves exploring Alaska with her family, scrapbooking memories, and playing volleyball with her husband.

Justine Collier

Justine is a lifelong Alaskan who brings a deep understanding of the state’s unique culture and challenges to her role as the manager of Collier Law. Having grown up in the Last Frontier, she has witnessed firsthand the state’s evolution. With a passion for helping others and a strong business acumen, Justine oversees day-to-day operations to ensure clients receive exceptional service. She has built a reputation as a respected professional committed to providing tailored legal solutions to the diverse needs of Alaskan residents. When not managing the firm, she enjoys fishing, hiking, camping, cross-country skiing, and taking full advantage of the breathtaking Alaskan wilderness that has always been home.

Darren HojnackI

Darren was born and raised in the Toledo, OH area. He received his B.S. in physics from the University of Toledo. He received his J.D. from the New England School of Law in Boston, MA. Upon graduation, he moved to Atlanta, GA, to begin his legal career. After twelve years in the Atlanta area, he relocated to Alaska with his wife and family. He has been in Alaska since August of 2018 and enjoys hiking and seeing all that Alaska has to offer: he has been to Seward, Hope, Whittier, Valdez, Talkeetna, Girdwood, and Denali National Park thus far. His legal experience involves title issues, property transfers, bankruptcy, foreclosure, probate, and wills/estates.

Michele Forto

Michele was born and raised in California. She has three adult children and one grandson. She received an associate’s degree in paralegal/legal assistant in 2003 and has worked as a paralegal in Colorado and Alaska with experience in insurance litigation, criminal litigation, personal injury, family law, and for Child in Need of Aid matters. Along with her husband and daughter, Michele also trains dogs from puppyhood to adulthood with specialties like therapy and PTSD service for Veterans. Michele has a master’s degree and is currently seeking a doctorate in strategic leadership. She enjoys traveling and planning the Rock n Roller Tour with her husband every year, where they go to music festivals, ride roller coasters, and visit National Parks. She also enjoys bikejoring, dog sledding, hiking, snowmachining, outdoor photography/videography, and advocating for dog powered sports.

Ian Zwink

Ian is a lifelong Alaskan. Born and raised in Wasilla, where he lives with his wife, Ruby, and their two dogs, Ian graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Ian earned a Juris Doctorate from Washburn University School of Law in Topeka, Kansas, in 2024. Ian is passionate about criminal defense and family law and believes everyone desires a zealous advocate in their time of need. Outside of work, Ian enjoys skiing, hiking, traveling, reading, and is an avid baseball fan.
